Position: Financial Technology Partners is seeking UK Investment Banking Analyst Interns, from July 2021 through December 2021.

Role Description: Our interns provide support for all aspects of a transaction from origination to closing. They work directly with the investment banking team who are responsible for the day to day activities of each transaction. Responsibilities include: financial modeling, company valuation, financial performance analysis, corporate and industry research, due diligence, strategic analyses of companies, preparation of marketing and presentation materials, management presentations and offering memorandums. 

The key responsibilities include:

  • Financial modeling, company valuation, and financial performance analysis
  • Analyze data using mathematical models and statistical techniques
  • Prepare reports, tables, and charts that present research results
  • Working alongside senior bankers to provide clients with M&A and financing services
  • Modeling complex M&A and financing scenarios
  • Undertaking relevant research and writing reports of findings 

Communications Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, able to prepare high impact materials
  • Participates effectively in both internal and external meetings 
  • Maturity and poise to work directly with client executives

Team Player:

  • Team player who can contribute to building a positive team spirit, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, and upholds firm values
  • Ability to perform under pressure, amid tight deadlines; can effectively prioritize and plan
  • Collaborative across teams and levels, both internally and externally
  • Understands coaching for long term development of self and others  

General Qualifications:

  • Internships or full-time positions in investment banking, or related industries
  • Top university degree, Finance or Accounting majors preferred
  • Minimum 2:1 required
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical ability
  • Strong work ethic and a drive for excellence
  • Ability to perform under pressure amid tight deadlines
  • Team player, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial
  • Strong quantitative and technical skills
  • Strong data management and research skills
  • High attention to detail

  • Permanent United Kingdom work authorization required
