ICT Infrastructure AnalystBand 5£24,214 - £30,112

The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a center of excellence at the forefront in the treatment of cancer. The Informatics department within the Trust currently has a vacancy for a third line ICT Infrastructure Analyst working as part of the ICT Infrastructure team at the Trust.

You will be working as part of the Infrastructure team which currently comprises of 4 Infrastructure Engineers and 3 Infrastructure Analysts. The Infrastructure team supports the entire ICT Infrastructure at the hospital which is based on Cisco, Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange 2010, vSphere, Trend Deep Security, NetApp, PaloAlto, and Commvault etc.

To be successful you will need to be an enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or minimum of 3 years’ in a 2ndline support role with exposure to Infrastructure technologies.

Ideally you will be educated to a HND/HNC level and be able to demonstrate further study in Microsoft, VMware or Cisco.

You will possess good working and supporting knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Networking fundamentals, Virtualization Basics and Network Storage.

You will have the ability to resolve technical queries independently and as part of a team and you must possess a logical, methodical thought process that allows you to work well under pressure. You will be required to provide technical support to your peers and other members of staff at all levels throughout the organisation. You will be expected to create and maintain excellent documentation for both technical and non-technical staff. An understanding of IT Service Management processes and functions (such as ITIL) would be advantageous.

You will be a well-presented, flexible, enthusiastic, patient, customer focused, team player with excellent customer service skills and the confidence to communicate with people on all levels. Knowledge of how computer systems support patient care and management process will be useful as will a general working knowledge and understanding of the NHS.
