Job Description 

We are Arm's Central Technology group who are responsible for trail-blazing the future technology, which will keep Arm's products redefining the state-of-the-art. We are looking for a computer vision intern to join Arm as part of the Applied Computer Vision Team. This team is responsible for architecture and technology investigations of modern Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computational Photography and Image Processing workloads, with strong focus into applied, practical implementations. From this role, you can expect the following:

  • Your time will be spent working alongside experienced Computer Vision engineers on a 3-6 month project (or collection of projects)
  • Your work will involve learning state-of-the-art Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Computational Photography techniques, proposing and implementing new algorithms and benchmarking them
  • You will have the opportunity to write technical specification documents of the algorithms that you help develop and evaluate
  • Working on scripts and automation to improve the quality of our continuous development
  • You will join a hardworking team, giving you the opportunity to develop and make a meaningful contribution 

Job Requirements 

We need you to have the following skills:

  • Studying for a University degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a similar degree
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision and Machine Learning fundamentals and taken course(s) about them
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (preferably C++) or scripting language (preferably Python)
  • A creative, pro-active and structured approach to problem solving and attention to details
  • Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong will and eagerness for learning and self-improvement

Good to have:

  • Interest in robotics with good understanding of the fundamentals
  • Understanding of computer architecture and basic concepts of heterogeneous compute
