Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of King James's School.

Applications are invited for the role of Science and DT Technician at King James’s School. You will be responsible for providing practical support across two faculties; Science and Art, Design & Business. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the use of the practical resources for lessons as well as providing classroom support for students in practical lessons.

You will be responsible for carrying out health and safety checks and dealing with chemicals and other hazardous materials/equipment, so it is essential you have a high level of attention to detail and can follow instructions. As the role is working across two faculties the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships is important; as is the ability to manage a wide and varied workload.

Initially, this role will be based at our Fernside site and it is planned that the role will move to our site at St Helen’s Gate once building works are completed, which is expected to be September 2021.
