Who you are: Reporting into the Global Strategy team, you will play a key role in shaping MilliporeSigma’s growth into new markets by exploring an emerging commercial opportunity for our bioprocessing business. Working with us, you’ll join a dynamic, highly collaborative team that enjoys being “problem solvers” in science. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will help MilliporeSigma evaluate a new opportunity, using your entrepreneurial drive and scientific background
  • Conduct a deep-dive analysis on a fast growing, emerging area critical to our business to understand customer needs and our opportunities to grow our bioprocessing business
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team of internal experts and other interns to drive for actionable outcomes
  • You will have the opportunity to develop an operating model and propose a new business plan and strategy
  • Research methodologies could include reading and digesting scientific publications, connecting with internal MilliporeSigma leaders, interview scientists and other experts etc. 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced science degree (PhD or Master) in Chemical Engineering, BioEngineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Cell Biology, with demonstrated interest in business or strategy
  • Or an MBA with scientific background either in undergraduate studies or from prior work experience
  • Passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to have a curious mind to drive initiatives
  • Ability to absorb, understand, and structure large amounts of new information quickly
