Candidates will develop hands-on Production Engineering skills used to support the manufacture of military missile systems; the skills may include: ordnance handling, mechanical assembly, electronic testing, factory automation, industrial processes, technical writing, teaming and continuous improvement techniques. Candidates will learn how to read and interpret engineering drawings & specifications to develop manufacturing processes, special tooling, and unique factory equipment; they will utilize software systems to develop manufacturing work instruction, analyze data, support test troubleshooting, and design/document process flows. Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement preventative/corrective actions to support continuous improvement. Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start.

Desired Skills:

  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Applied knowledge of manufacturing assembly and test methods, industrial processes, factory automation, technical writing, and teaming.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
