Job Summary

Engineering Intern students at GKN Cromwell/Wallingford are considered to be an integral part of the Engineering staff and are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Under guidance of the engineering staff, the students will be assigned to teams associated with ongoing production and/or Research/Development programs.
Job Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Preparation and modification of manufacturing/engineering documents
  • Observation of processes and technical data generation and analysis
  • Support of component and full-scale test activities
  • Interface with other internal organizations such as manufacturing, product support and purchasing, as well as suppliers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student majoring in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Processing Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing or Factory Environment is preferred
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong computer skills desired.
  • Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility
  • Shows pride in work performed
  • Demonstrates flexibility in acceptance of assignments and schedules
  • Maintains professional behavior and appearance
