Danfoss in Easley, SC has a great opportunity for a self-driven, results-oriented Engineering student to gain real-world experience in a Manufacturing Engineer Intern position with Danfoss. Students seeking variety, challenge, and an opportunity to build problem-solving and people skills will benefit from our internship. The candidate must be a strong communicator, self-starter, team player, and business professional.

Background and Skills

  • Major: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Ag Engineering
  • Level of Education: Junior or greater
  • Work availability: 40 hours/week
  • Ability to interact with all levels of organization
  • Familiar with basic hand tools
  • CAD and simulation experience a plus

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Help improve assembly line layouts and flow
  • Provide detailed data collection and analysis (time studies, material flow, waste analysis)
  • Assist in implementing new equipment on assembly lines (including performing capability studies)
  • Design and implement Poka-Yokes on assembly line
  • Implement manufacturing controls on assembly line
  • Assist in the design and implementation of process improvements on assembly lines
  • Help improve ergonomics throughout assembly process
