Design/develop Juniper Hardware products by defining size, shape, weight, user interface. User touch, feel and interface are defined the team. We do a lot of testing to make sure our product performs as designed. Interns help with “Test Fixture” design. Success will be defined by how well “Test Fixture” works


  • Assists manager, project leads, and/or senior engineers towards completion of defined tasks with supervision and guidance. Develops, improves and provides procedural support on projects.

  • Assignments include providing support and resolving technical and procedural problems.

  • Identifies and effectively utilizes key information and resources to solve problems.

  • With general direction from manager, works on sub-projects involving design, development, testing or improvement of hardware products.

  • Understands organization's goals and demonstrates ability to convey ideas regarding assigned tasks effectively.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Good 3D CAD skills, preferably Solidworks 2017.
  • Good verbal and written communication, documentation and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated team player, and capable of working in a fast paced R&D environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some understanding of Electro-Mechanical design for design and development of rack mount products is a PLUS.
  • Basic understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials), EMI containment, plastic design, die cast design and drawing standards.
  • Prefers hands-on mechanical lab experience using tools, CNC etc.
  • Team player who works well in innovative engineering team environment is desired.
  • Should have an understanding of various mechanical/manufacturing processes and their design rules/guidelines.

Preferred coursework: Materials Science, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, FEA, Basic Electrical Engineering and GD&T.
