This internship position will support the Metals Business Line Management (BLM) team on day-to-day activities. The Metals BLM is responsible for managing and expanding CME Group’s global metals product offerings, through detailed business analytics, product development, and close communication with our customers. Intern responsibilities to include data analysis, key metric tracking, management reporting, and ad hoc research projects.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Providing key metrics for management reporting
  • Analyzing business trends to guide our strategy & sales efforts
  • Preparing materials for client meetings, as well as internal reports for management on the state of the business
  • Collaborating with adjacent teams to facilitate these processes

Skills / Software Requirements:

  • Prior work experience or leadership roles in extra-curricular activities
  • Proficiency in Statistical Analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Excellent research skills
  • Inquisitive individual who is self-motivated to learn more about the derivatives industry


  • Currently pursuing a BA/BS or Masters/Advanced Degree
  • Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science preferred

Position is in Chicago Office, Full time schedule for Summer term.
