Eligibility: Our next internship program runs through the summer of 2020. We’re looking for students who are working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), and due to complete their studies and be available for a full time graduate role commencing in the summer of 2021. 

We want to build a pipeline of exceptional emerging leaders. If you excel in your internship, you could be fast tracked onto our full-time graduate program! 

The role 

Understanding the latest trends and leveraging sharp analytical skills and specialized industry expertise, our analysts deliver the data rich insights that guide our clients in long term decision making. If you are passionate about building the story behind the data, and becoming an industry or product specialist, then the Analyst stream is for you.

The Content teams in Hyderabad and Raleigh support the Orion dataset that drive many IHS Markit products and connect data throughout our ecosystem. These datasets include:

  • Public Ownership
  • Municipal Bond and Equity Deals
  • Compliance certifications
  • Entity Management 

Responsibilities, Duties and Tasks

  • Day to day sourcing, capturing, matching, identification, and validating/creating relationships
  • Independently utilize web sites and industry publications to extract and transform relevant information
  • Collaboratively work with peers for solutioning client requests
  • Multi-task, handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work hand in hand with team members to design, iterate and agree on new, transformed business processes
  • Deliver ‘best-in-class’ solutions that exceed client expectations

To be eligible for a Summer Internship, you will:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) completing no later than September 2021; Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
  • This program is aimed at students with 0-6 months relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated passion or interest in one or more of our key industries
  • Possess the highest ethical standards and a strong work ethic, willing to go the extra mile with a hands-on attitude
  • Ability to engage with clients confidently and authoritatively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented; able to multi-task; strong organizational skills and ability to document processes
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Indexing, offset matching
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • An ability to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting
  • Be legally eligible to work for the duration of the program in the country for which you apply

You may be considered for multiple suitable roles throughout this process. If these roles fall within the same stream, you will be assessed during the same process. If the roles fall across multiple streams, you may be asked to complete different assessments aligned to those roles. 

We recruit on a rolling basis and most of our assessment days are due to take place from November 2019. We recommend early application.
