Overhaul and Repair Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and versatile candidate to join the Trumbull O&R engineering team for a summer internship. Primary responsibilities include working with Trumbull O&R to meet its on-time delivery requirements through the following tasks:

  • Development of dynamic systems, rotors, airframe, hydraulics and landing gear repairs for commercial aircraft and foreign military variants (S-92, S-76, S-70 and S-61).
  • Creation of detailed manufacturing process plans
  • Solid modeling through CATIA V5
  • Shop support of manufacturing issues

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must be pursuing a BS or MS degree on a full-time basis and have completed at least two (2) semesters in any of the following majors: Aeronautical/Aerospace, Computer/Software Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Materials Science and Systems Engineering.

Candidate must know how to use common Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Experience working in a shop environment with shop equipment is a plus. Experience working with/on machines is a plus.

Course work or work experience with any of the following (or similar) applications is a plus: CATIA, Solidworks, Solumina, ANSYS or similar FEA program.
