Role purpose

  • Development of e-learning and web based Procurement sites.
  • To manage the knowledge needs of Global Procurement by administering and developing SharePoint and team spaces, acting as a “Knowledge Adviser”.
  • Support the procurement community with e-tools development and knowledge requests.
  • Provide technical expertise to help implement projects.
  • Implement the latest technology to simplify and/or improve processes

Accountabilities

  • Maintain a collection of e-learning courses

  • Manage the SharePoint platform for Global Procurement. Ensure the SharePoint sites for the PCOE and Procurement function are effective communication tools, well designed, meet size limits, create new sites if needed.

  • Work with the e-tools specialist to maintain the e-tools service for the global Procurement community.

  • Act as subject matter expert point of contact for guidance on SharePoint, Office 365 applications & procurement eTools.

  • Offer technical assistance in various projects by quickly being able to learn new software & systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • IT literate in Microsoft applications.
  • Proficient with Adobe Captivate
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Basic programming skills.
  • Fast mastery of new software.
  • Established Web design skills

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • Needs to be good communicator to be able to be able to work with clients to move issues to solutions

Critical success factors & key challenges

  • Work with novel software and quickly self-learn to deliver quality material.

  • Work with clients to understand their issue and help build a solution.

  • Ability to contribute to a small team & the wider procurement audience.
