On 1 October 2017, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) was created from the merger of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM). The Group Informatics Technology Function is responsible for the delivery of technical IT services to MFT. It provides technical expertise to maintain the IT Infrastructure to support our clinical and corporate applications.

The IT Operations team are looking to recruit IT Support Staff who will be able to make a significant contribution within a demanding support environment.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to apply for the post of Senior IT Technician. You will be part of an energetic, experienced and innovative support team constantly developing and implementing existing and new technology. You will be directly involved in the Trust’s efforts to provide the best IT services across a wide variety of specialist hospitals.
Reporting to the IT Support Manager, you will ensure SLA's are proactively managed and maintained to the highest possible standards. The scope & volume of work requires proven technical skills and ensuring a highly organised approach to the operational delivery of end-user devices.
You will need to be forward-looking and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a calm positive attitude along with good organisational and high-quality customer service skills. It is important that the post holder is able to multi-task and work under pressure as well as deal with any emergency situations which may arise.
