Job Description

Support design engineering teams as they develop the next generation of power tools.  Key activities  include:

  • Mechanical assembly
  • Troubleshooting
  • Testing
  • Solid modeling (Creo V4.0)
  • Drawing Creation (Creo V4.0)
  • Documentation of tolerance stacks
  • Structural analysis

Qualifications

  • Experience with solid modeling CAD systems, Creo V2 or later preferred.
  • Experience with drawing creation.
  • Proficient with MS Office programs.
  • Able assemble and disassemble complex assemblies.  Preference given to experience in finding and resolving mechanical issues.
  • Able to follow test protocols and document the results.
  • Class work relating to the analysis of component strength.  Preference is given experience applying these skills beyond the classroom.
  • Currently a junior or sophomore enrolled in a mechanical engineering undergraduate program
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and a background check
