We are currently seeking an Engineering Marine/Materials Intern for Summer Semester 2020. This position is located at the Florida Materials Research Facility in Ponce Inlet, FL.
The site feature roughly 3-acres of beachfront exposure areas and 3-acres of field space along the Intracoastal waterway to allow for marine submergence and product testing. As an outside laboratory, this work requires roughly a 50/50 time split between field work and office duties. Candidates should be prepared for physical lifting, hot and cold temperatures, heavy exposure to sunlight, exposure to rain, and native flora/fauna. Candidates MUST have the ability to swim and be willing to perform in-water evaluations as needed.
