Your role will focus on our market-leading software brand, CloudM, which provides software solutions that enable businesses to unlock the potential of G Suite and Office 365. Our CloudManager and CloudMigrator products have migrated more than nine million users and 34,000 domains to the cloud and are used by over 3,000 organisations in 83 countries across the globe.

Role Overview:

As Technical Author you will drive the initial and ongoing adoption of our market-leading cloud management software CloudManager through impressive technical content, automated product onboarding and high quality documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate and energetic to have a huge impact on a new area of our business. 

Reporting to one of our Product Managers, this critical role is responsible for the research, design, creation and maintenance of high quality documentation to support our customers in their effective use of product. You will also be responsible for the onboarding journey in our products and the ownership automated adoption cycles to increase product adoption.

Responsibilities:

Maintain And Update Documentation 

  • Ownership and maintenance of CloudM Knowledge Base

  • Ownership and maintenance of our digital training platform. 

  • Contribute technical content to our public facing website 

  • Lead the strategy around content delivery mechanisms i.e. written versus video content  

In-Product Onboarding And Adoption 

  • Drive through and prioritise changes in the product that will increase adoption 

  • Work closely with Product Managers on the onboarding of new users in our products 

  • Own the creation of content that contributes to this increased in-product adoption 

Automated Product Adoption 

  • Own any automated content that increases product adoption i.e. email CRM cycles 

  • Work closely with our marketing team to drive through the changes you need

Key Skills:

  • Experience working as a Technical Author or in a similar role 

  • Strong command of the English language, particularly in written form

  • Experience in writing public-facing material

  • Experience of using different content delivery mechanisms i.e. video 

  • Experience working to a deadline and within a multidisciplinary team 

  • A technical background and passion for cloud technology and a constant desire to learn the technical aspects out the CloudM product suite 

  • Empathetic, positive attitude with a desire to help our customers reach their goals 

  • Results-driven mentality, with a bias for speed and action

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience of working in IT Support or in System Administration

  • Experience of using Hubspot for marketing automation 

  • Experience of Zen Desk Guide 

  • Experience with media-creation software such as video and image editors

  • Experience of IT Administration or Support (even if earlier in your career)

  • Basic HTML and CSS experience 

  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related subject
