Specific responsibilities of this role include:
Collins Aerospace Materials & Process Engineering Department has an opening for a chemical engineering co-op to support legacy and development aerospace programs. The role requires working with internal engineering customers and suppliers to assist with materials and process (M&P) evaluations.
Performing outside supplier process evaluations, providing analytical services, and debris filtering and identification.
Much of the work for this position will be in a laboratory environment, and require operating specialized analytical equipment.
Formal written reports documenting all work will be required.
Education / Certifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or related field from an accredited institution.
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or related field from an accredited institution
Must have GPA of 3.0
Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability work well in team environments
