The Berry Global International Graduate Development Programme will provide you with a completely unique and career enhancing investment from the very start. The 2-year programme will see you undertake a placement in addition to 8 international personal development workshops in different locations.

Role and responsibilities

On the Berry Global Technical Graduate Program you will be exposed to a variety of functions including:

  • Research and Development
  • Injection moulding Process control
  • Quality assurance
  • Polymer science and
  • Customer Technical Service

You will gain experience in multiple plastics processing technologies including Injection moulding, In-mould labelling and Injection stretch blow moulding. With wider exposure to the Berry Global's full range of technologies.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Following all required safety procedures
  • Adhering to Berry Global policies
  • Providing field technical assistance and support for development activities
  • Providing feedback and suggestions such as improvements on NPD and manufacture efficiency processes
  • Troubleshooting and recommending innovative solutions
  • Creating investment proposals for capital expenditure.
  • Coordinating commissioning activities
  • Collecting and effective analysis of manufacture data for Lean review
  • Sub-project control for implementation of equipment and new product launches

Project and day-to-day activities may include Rapid prototyping, NPD tool piloting, equipment installation, design of experiments, production troubleshooting, creating new product solutions, data mining and people management. All of which are intended to challenge your abilities and broaden your skills base.

After 2 years of training and mentor support you will be an integral part of the Development team, charged with improving factory efficiencies, bringing new products to market and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Where will you be based?

Part of Berry Global Superfos is a packaging manufacturing site based in Blackburn that supplies the FMCG market. We are looking for the right person to apply their skill set and perspective to support and improve the business.

What are the entry requirements?

  • A 2:1 or above in an Engineering or Science degree
  • Flexibility and openness toward travelling for work
  • Current and ongoing right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role)

What experience is beneficial?

Excellent IT skills are essential and as such any experience of exercising this skills would be beneficial.
