We are seeking a college graduate intern to join the Intel Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group team to validate Firmware & Hardware on the next generation of Intel's industry-leading Solid State Drives (SSDs). 

Responsibilities include:

  • Development of system-level validation software to test SSD features in a real user environment.
  • Executing tests, reporting results, and trouble-shooting failures using industry standard tools.
  • Working in a team environment to drive improvements to the validation/test flow. 

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a t technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly. 

Minimum Requirements

  • The candidate must be pursuing a MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field. 

Minimum 6+ months of experience in the following:

  • Computer Architecture concepts and software development using Python and/or C/C++
  • coursework focusing on digital design or functional verification 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SSD architecture and SSD functionality
  • Knowledge of PCIe/NVMe bus protocols
