JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:

With the mission of capturing the biggest market share in the area of cyber security, network security, endpoint security, threat research, malware research and cloud security, we work together for a common goal of shaping the company’s future by designing and building the best in class scalable security products for consumer and enterprise customers. As industry leaders, we aim to develop high-performance system software solutions with availability and reliability.

We are looking for interns with unique and innovative skills, style and point of view. You can be an architect, scientist, threat researcher, or a coder as long as you possess a passion for cybersecurity design. Some of the responsibilities of the role are:

  • Layer seven protocol parsing for network-based IPS
  • Attack signature writing for network-based IPS
  • Threat analysis, vulnerability research
  • Enhance the infrastructure to facilitate vulnerability research and attack signature release process

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INTERNSHIP:

The program is a 10-12 week assignment where you will undertake a challenging project designed to blend strategic and operational work. You will be provided with a full network of individuals to ensure you have an incredible internship experience and be assigned a mentor and peer-level buddy to help you navigate through the organization. Specific projects and responsibilities will be assigned based upon your skillset.

INTERNSHIP BEGINNING: Late May 2019

INTERNSHIP CONCLUSION: Mid-August 2019

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Security
  • Working towards a Master’s or PhD
  • 3.0 GPA or better
  • You must be within one year from obtaining your degree at the conclusion of the internship. For example, if the internship concludes in August 2019 – you should have your degree no later than August 2020

PREFERRED SKILLS

We’re looking for candidates who have an understanding of the following:

  • Strong networking background, experience with network security, good programming skills and good knowledge of exploitation and vulnerabilities.
  • Solid networking background, especially with TCP/IP protocol stack
  • Experience with network security
  • Experience with software development especially skills in programming languages such as C
  • Understanding of software exploitation and common vulnerabilities is a plus
  • CS related graduate or 1 years+ work experience; a master degree is preferred but not required
