Description

Initially maternity cover for the existing Product Analyst, you’ll provide support across the product team by identifying customer value, customer experience and process improvement opportunities as well as recommending actions and drive implementation. Once you have gained a better understanding of the business, you’ll also take on more of a data science focus where you’ll assist in the development of predictive models and employ the latest analytical techniques to solve business problems.

This role would be suitable for experienced data analysts looking to move into the data science field or graduates in Computer/Data Science, Operational Research or Mathematics looking to pursue a career in analytics.

You will:

  • Provide customer base analysis and segmentation to identify revenue/GP/customer value improvement opportunities. Work with relevant Product/Commercial Managers to propose and implement actions
  • Maintain and develop reports on key product metrics, interpreting and analysing trends and providing insights based on available data
  • Provide ad hoc analysis on a range of subjects, including: Pricing, customer behaviour, leads
  • Provide support on key product initiatives (e.g. New product launches, pricing changes)
  • Support Product Managers in reviewing and enhancing key processes/business rules with the aim of increasing efficiency (and automation) and improving customer experience
  • Assist Product Analytics Manager with development and enhancement of predictive models and maintenance of existing models

You’ll need:

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency in using SQL
  • An understanding of R or Python (desirable)
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and present it is an easily digestible format
  • Knowledge of some data mining and statistical techniques such as clustering, classification and regression modelling
  • To be a self-starter and proven team player in a high achievement oriented environment
  • Excellent self-organisation, self-motivation and time management
  • A meticulous approach to detail & quality
  • Improvement focus, willing to challenge the status quo
  • Be educated to degree level
