Applications are sought for a Research Technician to work on the role of iRHOM2 in the immune-epidermal cell stress response. The post will be based in the group of Professor David Kelsell in the Centre for Cell Biology and Cutaneous Research, Blizard Institute, within the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.  The Blizard Institute is an outstanding research environment with excellent core facilities including microscopy and flow-cytometry. Barts and The London School of Medicine was ranked 7th in the UK for research in Clinical Medicine in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014. 

This full-time position is funded by the Medical Research Council for 36 months to work on elucidating the genetic and cellular pathways regulated by iRHOM2 in the keratinocyte/immune stress response in skin biology and/or hyperproliferative skin disorders including psoriasis.

Applicants for this research technician post are expected to have a BSc with cell and molecular biology experience. Salary will be in the range of £31,054 - £33,615 inclusive of London Allowance.  Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
