CHA has an extensive and competitive Summer Internship Program. Our summer program aims to prepare students for the professional working environment and provide them with the best resources to be successful in their future careers. Over the 8 to 12-week duration of CHA’s summer internship program, our interns participate in authentic learning experiences that help them improve and develop skills.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently accepting Summer Internship applications for our 2019 Summer Internship Program under the following technical groups within our company:

  • Mechanical Engineering Design (HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, Fire Protection)
  • Electrical Engineering Design
  • General Structures
  • Water/Wastewater
  • Civil Engineering (Civil/Site/Land Development)
  • Landscape Architecture 
  • Aviation (Civil Engineering)
  • Aviation Planning
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Electrical Distribution/Utilities Design
  • Mechanical Energy Engineering
  • Environmental, Health & Safety/Ecology/Remediation/Compliance (Engineers & Scientists)
  • Surveying
  • Architecture
  • Transportation Structures (Bridge Design)
  • Highways/Roadways Design
  • Rail Design
  • Traffic Engineering
  • Transportation Planning (Planners)
  • Geographic Information Systems 
  • Assistant Project Managers (Construction)

Candidates applying for these opportunities must be enrolled in college coursework towards a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree during the summer of 2019 (CHA will notaccept December 2018/May 2019 graduates for internship positions). Candidates going into their junior or senior year of college are preferred.

  • Civil Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Structural Engineering

  • Geotechnical Engineering

  • Chemical Engineering (Water/Wastewater focused)

  • Environmental Engineering

  • Transportation Engineering 

  • Landscape Architecture

  • Architecture

  • Aviation Management, Planning, or a closely related major

  • Construction Management/Construction Technology or a closely related construction major

  • Environmental Science, or a closely related major

  • Surveying or a related degree (associates degree coursework acceptable for surveying only)

  • Geographic Information Systems
