Description

The Associate I (ASI) will perform safety testing required to manufacture clinical and commercial products. The ASI is required to execute molecular assays and make scientific observations, maintain detailed workbooks/ documentation and ensure all documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards. Additionally, they are required to maintain a thorough understanding of BioReliance services, technical principles and applications. Molecular Laboratory Operations is a high-throughput lab that delivers a series of biosafety assays designed to detect pathogens, residual host cell DNA, identify cell lines and quantify vector titers of emerging immunotherapies.  

Who You Are: 

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in scientific discipline with 0-3 years of relevant experience, or AA in scientific discipline with 2 or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Experience  with  micropipetting, nucleic acid extractions, quantitation, PCR, QPCR  and/or Sanger sequencing
  • Proficiency with Excel and other basic computer programs
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
