The Red Hat DevOps team is looking for a  DevOps Software Engineering Intern to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will help the Red Hat DevOps team create and maintain mission critical infrastructure and tools used to develop, test, package, and release all Red Hat’s solutions to customers. You’ll work with a team of talented software engineers and contributors across the globe developing new solutions to expand, automate, and streamline our build and release pipeline using modern technologies like containerization and microservices. This is an exciting opportunity to gain deep knowledge about Red Hat’s business and the open source culture. Primary job responsibilities   Learn our existing tools and offerings; gain understanding of the problems that we are trying to solve Identify the strengths and weaknesses of existing technologies to find a solution that exploits the best of these tools; work with the team on a solution and present it Collaborate with engineers inside and outside of Red Hat; work with engineers from open source projects like Fedora Play an important part in the build and release process of our current solutions portfolio; make sure these tools are ready for the next generation of open source technologies  Required skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate in a globally distributed, cross-functional environment Passion for technology, working the open source way, and upholding brand standards Ability to work well on your own and as part of a team; experience with and an appreciation for agile principles and practices Knowledge of and the ability to learn various development and scripting languages (specifically Python), as well as workflow automation Passion for solving complex problems; ability to create or identify solutions that are well-tested and maintainable Red Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
