The IT Engineering Tools Internship is responsible for the creation, enhancement, development, testing, and maintenance of engineering equipment, and software tools. Interaction with all Engineering departments, as well as Technical Data and Services, and Product Management will be required on a periodic basis. Primary responsibilities will be support to technical refreshes of software on existing hardware, deployment of configured hardware assets, and tool modification / creation to support Evacuation Engineering software and database tools. **This position is for full time 2018 summer seasonal internship and part-time the remainder of 2018 and into 2019**     The successful candidate will: • Assist in deploying assets configured to user defined and approved specifications. • Assist in creating and implement software design specifications • Utilize programming and scripting techniques in code database development • Produce documentation and specifications to support training of users on tools. • Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.     Job Function Engineering Job Discipline Engineering: Software Engrg Experience/Qualifications   Basic: • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four year college/university. • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours. Preferred: • Experience with object-oriented programming in C++, C#, or Java, or similar • Experience with web development, including HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, or similar • Excellent written and oral communication skills preferred • Highly motivated, fast learner who works well both independently and within a team • Experience with Microsoft development tools, database concepts, and web services a plus • Experience with video technologies is a plus Nothing matters more to UTC Aerospace Systems than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
