Internship
ANSYS believes in developing our future engineers and technologists. We offer an enriching internship program for graduate students currently enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university. Our interns work on a variety of impactful projects. They develop and test our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in their field of study. Interns may support any of our business units, including but not limited to the following: Design Business Unit Platform Development Unit Licensing & Install Unit Mechanical Business Unit Release Management Unit Fluids Business Unit This internship is a 40-hour per week paid position starting August/September and concluding December 2018. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with software developers to design, implement, and debug Create and maintain simulation products Investigate and fix defects in production code Develop unit and regression tests Contribute to the development of software for graphical user interfaces, visualization, and computational algorithms Learn and employ best software practices including design and code review MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Pursuing a MS or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship Exposure to C++, C#, Java or Python Sharp and tenacious problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Team player, responsible, and motivated PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Exposure to object oriented programming Strong math skills Web development experience Did you know?
