We provide a generous benefits package, on-site gym and fitness programs, team sports, activities and competitive compensation.  Metrology Engineering Assistant (Internship)   Catalent offers students a fun and stimulating environment to gain experience and exposure to pharmaceutical chemistry development.  Please note: **This is a part time, YEAR-ROUND student internship - (Graduates will not be considered).  ***Only LOCAL candidates will be considered.  An individual at the level of Metrology Engineering Assistant will be actively participating in an applicable scientific or engineering degree program at an accredited university, and will be expected to understand and execute basic metrology functions.   The individual will be required to assist in the oversight and maintenance of applicable electrical, dimensional, optical, physical, mechanical, environmental, and/or chemical test equipment in the laboratory.  They will assist in the maintenance of appropriate calibration, verification, and/or qualification of laboratory and quality systems.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. Assist in instrument installation, maintenance, repair, and qualification Perform defined testing to ensure instruments are functioning as intended Assistance with general upkeep of laboratories, such as glassware cleaning, restocking supplies, calibration of general equipment (i.e. balances, Karl Fisher, etc.) Assist in compiling data from reports, filing reports, and documenting work performed in a report. Assist in the creation of training materials for the laboratory  Requirements Must currently be a full-time student with a major in physical sciences. Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Engineering majors are strongly encouraged to apply. Completion of Upper Division Chemistry Coursework is preferred. Prior experience in chemistry and chemistry lab techniques are recommended Candidates should be highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work as part of a team. Availability to work 15-20 hours a week during the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (no exceptions).
