20 years ago, L'Oréal and UNESCO founded the For Women in Science programme to promote and highlight the critical importance of ensuring greater participation of women in science.

Each year, the programme recognises the achievements of exceptional female scientists across the globe and awards them with Fellowships to help further their research.

Since the programme was founded in 1998, more than 2,000 women in over 110 countries have been recognised for their research and received funding to further their careers.

L'ORÉAL INDONESIA SCIENCE PROGRAMS Only 31% of Indonesian scientists are female* L'Oréal Indonesia science programs aims to build awareness and support the field of science for women starting from high school level until they reach scientific professions. For Girls in Science Female high school students (15-16 y/o) Sorority in Science Female university students (17-21 y/o) majoring in science For Women in Science Female researchers (Ph.D., max 40 y/o)  L’Oréal - UNESCO For Women in Science is an award given in recognition of talented young female scientists who have dedicated their career on developing innovations in science and contributed to the sustainable development and the welfare of society. Since its first launch in Indonesia back in 2004, this program has been in a close partnership with the Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO, Ministry of Education and Culture Indonesia with the purpose of acknowledging, encouraging and supporting women in the fields of science. Every year, L’Oréal Indonesia For Women in Science has awarded young talented Indonesian female scientists in the form of fellowship to help support their research. As of 2017, 49 Indonesian female scientists have received this fellowship and 5 of them have went on to be awarded at international level.  Four winners will each receive fellowship worth IDR 90 Million Terms and Conditions Female not older than 40yrs old  Having at least Doctoral degree / Ph.d or on going Doctoral degree program Research must be in field of Life Sciences / Engineering / Material Sciences / Mathematics / Computer Sciences Submit the online application form through  www.lorealscience.co.id Important Dates 09 September 2018  Deadline for Submmissions 06-07 November 2018  Announcement of the 4 winner

The objective of this programs is to promote science as a fun, creative and promising career path. This competition together with our two other science programs, L’Oréal - UNESCO For Women in Sciences and L’Oréal Sorority in Science aims to increase the awareness of science among women in Indonesia. Your Challenge:  Robots with Impact Build a robot that can give positive impact for the environment or the community around you.
