We are looking to appoint a Junior Network Technician to integrate into our existing support team providing second-line support for the Digital user population. Applicants should have experience of working in a similar role, preferably utilising ITIL processes. The duties are varied, and include specimen reception, entering patient data into the laboratory IT system, assisting with the laboratory handling of most types of specimens, printing out tissue cassettes ready for dissection sessions and receiving and sending material to other hospitals. Other tasks include:  preparing reagents, solutions and stains, daily maintenance of laboratory equipment, maintaining laboratory archive systems, cleaning laboratory equipment and general housekeeping tasks. There is a requirement to be able to lift heavy objects such as boxes and waste and to be able to push trolleys.
